“Education” is a painting that reflects the duality of the Chilean educational system through the image of a green clown balancing on a universe of doubts. The work is a critique and, at the same time, a reflection of my experience working in this system. Although many people benefited, children – who should be the main protagonists – were often left behind, victims of the lack of resources and the diversion of funds. A bad joke, a mockery disguised as progress. This work seeks to question the fragility and absurdities of a system essential to the development of a society.
